This post should catch me up to when i left for This is Hardcore last week. I'll try and get that post up tommorow or sometime early next week. First up is a bunch of Time Flies records. I saw that Kyle Whitlow was taking offers on his whole list and i immediately thought..."welp, what should i offer on?" since he basically has everything. After some thought i decided to go for most of his Time Flies records that i didn't already have. I ended up getting these 6 7"s and tape.

This is another tape to add to the Far From Breaking Collection. Im pretty sure they have a couple more. I now have three. This one is the Summer tour 01 tape #59/95

I already had CCTP on clear and the S/T with the Misfits cover. Probably three days after i bought these i won this black copy of Can't Change the Past on ebay too. I think for something like $3. Here is a picture of all the 7"s i have. Hook me up with anything im missing.

Next up is a haul of Chuck Ragan records i bought off a guy from the Vinyl Collective Board. My Chuck collection is coming along petty well. Im now only missing 11 releases...haha. I think i'll be scoring one of these soon though. These consist of:

Next up is a few single items i won off ebay like 3-4 weeks ago. This first one is the repress by Tacklebox Records of Vision's In The Blink Of An Eye on Green. Pretty cool to own this on color. I should look into getting the rest.

Next item was Far from breaking's Made My Choice 7" on white vinyl. I'm pretty sure i have most of FFB's stuff now. I only think i'm missing tests and a transition. I'm probably wrong. Who knows.

Here is a In My Eyes Demo Tape + Nothing To Hide sampler tape. I've watched this tape on ebay over 30 times and never ended up bidding. I finally won it and happened to also come with this Sampler Tape. Cool deal.

This next one is the Insted "We'll make the difference" 7" on Red vinyl. I'm stoked to finally own this 7". I never tried to get it everytime i saw it on ebay. I'm now on the lookout for the rest of the copies of this.

Heres some more additions to my Right Idea collection. This is an order i made with Refuse records for the new RI 7" called "Right Way". It comes on Blue and yellow vinyl so of course i bought both. I've listened to this a few times and it's pretty dope. At first i was skeptical because they put up that Oi sounding song and i was afriad that the whole 7" sounded like that...which would have been weird. Not necessarily bad, just weird. I'm glad i was wrong. All but that track sound like the older stuff, which rules. I also picked up the 2nd pressing of the demo 7" on black vinyl.

I got these a few days before i left for Philadelphia last week. These are the "To us it was so much more" 7" Complations. Mega ups to 1124 records for putting out a SOLID Comp release. Great bands, excellent layout, and really nice packaging. If i were you i'd go to their store and get one of these. I bought three copies from the store and recieved the black, clear, and a transition. The bottom one is the transition. I may look black but this second picture is what it really looks like when put into the light. Heres the pics.

Next is the order i made when the Rival Mob's new 7" was first put up. I ended up getting the new RM and the 2nd pressing of the Foundation 7". This Rival Mob 7" looks black until you hold it to light, then you'll see it has some andom clear colored splatter in it. Pretty cool. Mainly because you can't see the uglyness of splatter vinyl.

I also got all this a few weeks ago. Here is a pretty large order i made with React! for the new praise, damages, and Get The Most Lps. Only thing special about these is i scored a transition of the GTM LP. Although, my clear transition looks basically the same as my non stamped clear. All three of these turned out really nice. Stoked to have these!

Finally, the last piece of vinyl i got in this month-long stretch was another awesome addition. The mindset Real power test press. This one is #23/25. Followed is an updated picture of all the 7"s. Only missing the 2nd press transition of Real Power now. I'm not too worried about that one to be honest though.

Mid Summer Post

It's been over a month since i've posted last. I probably shouldn't have waited that long either cause ive gotten almost 40 records since then. Wow.. Addict. I'll probably split these up into two or three posts. I guess ill get started.

First up is the new Effort LP "Wartime Citizens". I've honestly only listened to it 2-3 times since ive had it. First impression was good. Though, not as good as Iconoclasm was. I'm sure it will grow on me once i give it more listens. I did notice they really stepped it up in the political lyrics era. They have always had them but they seem a little more in depth now. I enjoy bands who's lyrics explore topics that they really feel should be heard. I need to read the lyrics again.

Nice. My first official True colors test pressing. This is the Consider it Done 7" Test pressing from Six Feet Under Records. As you can see in the second picture this is #3/13. Thanks dave!

While im on True Colors ill go ahead and post my other two i recieved in the past month. Here is the Bonus 7" with the last show sleeve. Appearently these were not done in time for them to get to True Colors for the last show so Dave just put them
up in the SFU store. These are limited to 75, mine being #18.

Last one is the Get Em Demo 7" Test Pressing. I'm stoked i was able to work a deal out for this one. This one is #8/10. I now have a complete Get em 7" collection. Now only five more True Colors records to go until it's complete. I doubt ill get all of them...especially if people are wanting the rediculous prices they went for on Ebay a month or so ago. Ill post them here. Help me get these for a decent price.

Next is the new Bitter End Lp "Guilty As Charged". Can we say hard? Yea. This one is definitely one of the better HARDcore records this year. I'm usually pretty picky with harder stuff but Bitter End has always been an exception since i first heard the Mind In Chains 7". Great band. I was stoked to get to see them again at the last Floorpunch show in Philly back in June. Really good set although i was hopeing for an old song or two. O well. I've seem most of the old 7" live before so i guess i cannot argue.

Here we have the Outspoken "Current" 7" on Clear vinyl. When New Age first put up the 2nd new color of the Survival 7" last month i looked over this one. I bought the Survival 7" then i saw that they had 5 copies of this for sale. So, i bought this one too. Very stoked i only had to pay $5 for this...instead of 20. Now i'm just waiting for my other Outspoken stuff from New Age. Maybe ill get it in two months.

Moving on. Here is the Wide Awake-CT Hardcore 7" with Sammy cover. This one is 2nd Pressing with silver Labels. I believe there is also a 1st press Sammy cover. I need any first or third press's of this. Hook me up.

Here is something i picked up at the Six Feet Under showcase. This is the Bitter End Climate of Fear last press. I think there is 105 of these on White vinyl. So, appearently these covers all have bullet holes and dirt on them. This was planned. Weird..but i guess it looks cool? My copy isn't very noticable but other ones are definitely.

Next is the Disengage Look Back 7" put out by Back To Back records. New PA straight edge band. This 7" rips. Really dope cover. Very late 80s-early 90s look. Which obviously rules. If your into the cover your most likely into the music. Check em out.

Here are three record store scores i got from Generations records in New York. I was determined to find a couple records i wanted while i was in new york. So this is what i found. First one is the Rain On The Parade "Body Bag" 7". Band rules. Good score for only like $4. Next is the Atari "we'll be fighting" 7". Great band that should be talked about more. Im sure Chris M. would agree. Last i picked up was the Chuck Ragan-Los Feliz LP on pink vinyl. I'm aiming for having one copy of each of Chuck's releases so this one was needed. This record is awesome, especially for a live record. My next post will have alot of Chuck Ragan records. I can't get enough. I think im starting to listen to way to much Ragan, Hot Water Music, and Chris Wollard and the Ship Thieves. Nah. Never enough.

Heres the last one for this post. This is the Foundation Hang Your Head 7" Judge rip sleeve. This one is pretty dope. It's all a complete rip..labels, cover, lyric sheet. Pretty dope. This is /200.

Heres an update on the 8 or so records ive gotten in the past week and a half. First up is the Sorry Excuse tour 7" and tape. This band rules. Really good fast straight edge hardcore from Kansas City. I'm surprised i havent ever seen them since they are only from the next state above me. If you haven't heard the "Listen With Prejudice" 7" yet your missing out. Third Party Records #35. MIDWEST WOLKFPACK GO. Listen here.

Next up is something i got the same day as the Sorry Excuse package. More True Colors Vinyl! Who would have thought. My boy Ewald from Belgium hooked me up with the two last show vinyl editions they made. (thanks man!) First one is Rush Of Hope with a last show sleeve. This one is numbered #32/50. Actually though, i believe they did the first 25 on red vinyl and the last on black. Likewise this copy is on black. Im still debating if i want to get the red one too. I may.

Next up is the last show edition of the Consider It Done 7". This one is the on clear yellow vinyl. #45/100 Peep it.

Back:

A couple days after getting those record si finally got my package from Bridge 9 with my Underdog records. I actually wait to but this for probably 1-2 weeks after it first went up. I was really surprised to see that the red vinyl copy was still availible. Was Stoked. This record looks so nice. About as nice as possible i'd say. It came with this 60+ page book with like 6 interviews and other types of cool Underdog related things. I haven't really read much of it yet but i flipped through it and it's definitely very well put together. Very cool. Does anyone know the pressing info for this Underdog matchless on red? I also picked up with this the repressing of the Underdog s/t 7" on red. Hey, its not an original on blue..but it will be good enough. Here they are.

Here is an item i won off Ebay. Our Turn-Catch Your Breath on Clear. I think that this version is the most limited? Maybe? Either way im glad to finally add to my OT collection which will eventually be near complete..someday. This is probably one of my favorite hardcore records ever. This was actually one of the first hardcore bands in general i started listening to. Glad i can say i still love them today. Band is an instant classic in my book. Screw the haters. Someone hook me up with any copies of the step aside 7" or catch your breath on blue. (and any tests of course)

Last up is a package i got yesterday. This is the Face Reality Positive Change test pressing and the "friends press". I believe this completes my collection of this 7". Nice cover on the test. Can't go wrong with Judge ripoffs. This copy is #16/20.

This friends press copy is one of the 28 copies of the 7" that got messed up and were "transitions". Ths one seems to be yellow with some green and white mixed in with it. These are also eventually going to have covers for them. I'll get it once they are made, whenever that will be. Anyways, thanks to David for hooking me up with these.

True Colors, Bitter End, Floorpunch, Mindset, ETC.

YO. Big post today. It was already big enough a few days ago but then I started getting tons of stuff in the mail. I’ll see if I can get caught up. Nothing much has gone on in my life since my last update. Work, sleep, repeat. I did get to catch a date of the Lion Of Judah, Give, Stick Together tour the other day though. This was my first time seeing Give and Stick Together and both were great. To be honest I hadn’t listened to too much Give before this show and just passed them off as alright. Definitely after seeing them I can get more into them. To me they sound like really late Snapcase circa Bright Flashes mixed with something else that I can quite think of. Definitely a cool band. Stick together was pretty cool also. Seems like they just got together 3 months ago maybe..and are already touring. Crazy. If you don’t know about them, it’s the singer from War Hungry on vocals. All they have is a demo tape. Check them out here. Anyways, I picked up a ST shirt that is pretty nice. I would have bought the Give record if I had more money. Lion of Judah was also sweet as usual. Next week ill be seeing The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. I am really stoked to see that band. I’m hoping they won’t be a disappointment. Doubtful.
Up first is the Tribute Fanzine #2 featuring Floorpunch, The Loved Ones, Tim McMahon, Remission, Plus a few others. This zine is awesome. Really good interviews with Remission, Floorpunch, and Tim McMahon. If your into Zines i'd definitely see about picking this up. Also, the best part about this zine is that it comes with the Remission Demo 7". This is the only place to get this 7" and lets be honest, your missing out if you dont know about this band. I cannot wait to hear more new songs because the newest song "Winds Of Promise" is very nice. Get into it.

Next up is the Four Walls Falling Burn It 7" on Green Vinyl. I used to own this on black but i traded it for something proably a year ago. Im glad to have a copy back into my hands. It seems like this 7" dosn't get much talk and thrown in with the food for worms category. The three songs on this are probably my 2nd favorite material from them, right behind Culture Shock. Four Walls Falling are definitely my favorite band thats ever came out of Richmond and probably one of my favorites in general. Such a great band. It's been 10 years since the last reunion. It's about that time again.

This is the first release called "The Death Of Urgency" from the newish Socal Vegan Edge band called Abandon. This record was put out by Death Of A Modernist records. They sound like a mix of Strain, Unbroken, and Mean Season. They play the typical 90s metallic hardcore sound but i think these guys are better than alot of the others trying for this similar sound. This copy is the Preorder version on red vinyl. The card that came in the LP sleeve says #34/62. Check them out here.

Heres another nice addition to my Bitter End collection. Here's three more copies of Climate Of Fear on Red/White Swirl, Green, and Black. This band has always been in constant rotation since the first time i saw them in 06. They are definitely one of my favorite bands playing this style of NYHC today. Possibly my favorite? Maybe. Every song is hard and dosn't completely rip off madball like most other bands today. I cannot wait for Guilty as Charged to drop later this summer. It will definitely be one of th best's this year. Don't sleep.

Up now is alot of new additions to the True Colors collection. In the past week I've gotten my preorders from Six Feet Under, Control, and I Drink Milk. Resulting in 10 new True Colors records. Still waiting on three more that i should get in very soon. The first ones i got were the Demo 7" from I Drink Milk Records. This cover for this 7" is so great! What's better than a gator just straight chillin. Nothing. There's three versions of this: Blue, Black, and Reverse cover. I think the reverse cover is probably my favorite of the three. The red goes well. Also, some of these pictures, including the rest i post about for a while, will be much crappier quality do to the fact i can't use my sisters camera anymore since she is living in NYC this summer.

About a week after i got these i got my Six Feet Under package in with my copies of Consider it Done and the Floorpunch Discography. There is four versions of this 7". White, Black, Clear, Green. Also, the Green version comes with a "Bonus 7" that im not too sure what it is. I put it on and it seems like its just a mix of True Colors songs but a different recording of them. Maybe just some random studio session? Who knows. Here they are.

Last True colors package i got was the Euro Consider It Done 7"s from Control Records. Appearently there is 10 black/white mix of this 7". Mine has some black in it but not really sure if it counts as one of those. (most of the black in my copy is on the back..not pictured) Anyways, heres the black and white copies of this 7". Got the yellow last show color coming my way too. ;)

Here is the other half of my order from Six Feet Under. Floorpunch Discography 2XLP's. Love the layout. One thing i hate about gatefold vinyl is the cover always gets bent. Actually, i kinda just don't like them in general. But, i guess thats really the only option for 2xlps. Anyways, i ordered three copies of this hopeing id maybe get the blue one. I didnt get lucky with that. I ended up getting one of the Tigerstripe colorways /303 and two copies on Brown /599. The other copies are blue /95 and Clear /1009. Someone should hook me up with a blue. I'm down to trade my extra copy of this Gold too. Other than me disliking Gatefold records, this release is really nice. A HUGE foldout paper with a really long story about the band. I haven't had a chance to read it but it looked pretty massive.

Saved this for last. This is the Test Pressing of Time & Pressure from Mindset. Great addition to the collection. I love the cover for this. This copy is #8/24 as you can see in the picture of the back. Now all i need to complete this collection is the Real Power Test and the 2nd Press Transition. Someone should get at me if they have those.

The summer is here!

I guess I’ve been putting this off for a while. That’s not anything out of the ordinary for me. My last update was on April 15th, so it’s been over a month. I haven’t really done much since then really. My semester ended at school so now I’m living back at home in the middle of nowhere Arkansas. Up until last week React! Was the last show I attended. I went to the Mastodon/Baroness tour in Memphis. It was just something to do and definitely not worth the ridiculous price. Also saw the Foundation tour with Backtrack, Harms Way, and A Better Hope Foundation in St. Louis a couple days ago. Cool show, I’ve seen Foundation and Harms Way too many times I think. I’m also hitting up the Converge/Black Breath Show in Memphis tonight, which should be fun. As far as I know Converge has never played Memphis so it should be cool. I’ve got a lot of things to post about on here so I’ll probably do two posts, hopefully close together. The summer always gets the best of me when it comes to records. Haha. I’ve also picked up a few shirts since then including an Outspoken Longsleeve, Rancor Shirt, Remission Shirt, and another Foundation Tee.

First up is the only copy (for now) of What it Takes by Damage Control I have. I have no logical answer as to why it took me so long to buy it. Damage Control is most likely my favorite hardcore band to ever come out of Norway. Too bad I wasn’t into them in 04 when they made it over here to play. But then again I was only 14 in 04 so what do you expect. Ha. If you missed out on the DC train, you may want to look into them. If you like some singing mixed with your youth crew then you will enjoy. Some (maybe just one) of the members are now playing in Common Cause, who is also a great band. This copy is the Preorder version of the LP from Dead and Gone Records. It’s on Red vinyl and I think there’s something like 100 with this cover.

I’ve also recently received the Damage Control “Losing End” 7” in the mail. Not much to say about this other than it’s another great 7” from one of the best’s of the past ten years. Get into it.

One of the things that I didn’t pick up at React! Was the pink version of the Praise-Growing.Changing.Healing. I’ve had the opportunity of seeing this band two times now. Once back in November last year, and then at React! This band is so good. Live, Recorded, Everything. I really can’t wait to hear more material from them. Anyways, here is the transparent pink copy of their EP. I think there are 100 of these. It’s a really nice color too.

This next one is also one of those late buys. This is the Outspoken LP on New Age. Honestly this is probably one of my favorite hardcore records in general. I’m eventually aiming for a complete Outspoken collection someday, but I’m not expecting that to be soon at all. You should hook me up with what I don’t have. ;) It’s cool to see that they are playing shows again too. Maybe it won’t be too bad without John, but I guess I’ll have to wait and see for myself. Either way I think it will be fun seeing these songs live. I’m pretty sure that all the copies of this record are the same. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Here is most of the tapes I’ve gotten in the past month. Most of these you can see what they are. The yellow one with black ink is the new Waste Management “Waste Taste 2010” Tape. I haven’t really sat down and listened to any of these yet but I should. One band that I am stoked on is Disengage though. I recently ordered their 7” which should be really good. The cover looks like it came straight from the early 90s, so that rules. Check them out.

Last but definitely not least is probably about one of my favorite records from the past 10 years. Beloved was one of the first bands I really got into when I was getting into “harder” music. When I first saw that Broken Circles Records was putting this LP out on vinyl I was instantly stoked. I was actually caught off guard and immediately ordered I think four copies without hesitation. Haha. About a month ago I got the Test Pressing and Fest Edition of this LP. I got both of these combined for a really cheap price so that was really cool. There are 100 of the Fest Press and 30 Test Pressings.

Here is a picture of all of these together. Originally there was supposed to be I think four versions of this record but the pressing plant screwed it all up. I’m actually glad they did because they all look really dope. I love all the marble colorways.

It's time to React!

Last weekend me and two friends flew out to Sacramento for the React! showcase. I knew it was going to be awesome but it definitely exceeded my expectations. Both days definitely went up in the running for best shows ive been at. I'm not too good with rankings, so ill just say top 5 for sure. The showcase was probably one of the only shows i've seen that i could say i enjoyed every band that played. It was nice seeing the bands i had not seen yet too. If i counted right, half of the lineup was my first time to see. I also got to hang out with alot of awesome people i never get to see and/or just met this past weekend. Big thanks to Mike from Resolve for letting us stay at his place.

Noteable Highlights: True Colors for the 4th time, Mindset for the 7th time, Get the most(and their Beyond cover), 7 Seconds playing a really great set, Secret People(this band was awesome..get into it) Finally getting to see Keep It Clear, Praise for being really good, Common Cause ruling SO much live, Lots of hangouts, good food, record stores, making new friends, and lots of cool stuff bought.
Lowlights: Last time seeing True Colors ever :( , Gone But Not Forgotten dropping off, feeling sick most of the weekend, making me semi anti-social, and early morning flights.

The first thing i think i bought at the showcase was the React! Boxset. This thing rules so much. It has the first five 7" put out on React, two posters, 4 stickers, and all the different letters React sends out with orders. All this in a slick looking box with 3 sides with screenprints. My box is #90/94. I don't care about low numbers..as long as i get one im good. This easialy moved up to one of the cooler things i own fast. Here it is.

Next up is the Common Cause reissue of the Statement of Purpose CD, on vinyl. This and the Power To Change are both really good records. It was really cool getting to see this band. They played most of the songs i wanted to hear(besides power to change). This band is actually even better live. I really hope they can make it back to the US sometime in the near future. This is the Showcase edition
(i guess) of the LP. It's on Clear Gold vinyl and limited to 100. Looks slick.

Ever since the Moment In Time 7" came out in 07 I've been wanting more Get the Most. Such a fun band to listen to, and this LP is no exception. It does sound a little different than their last three 7"s but that is definitely not a bad thing. Alot more Uniform Choice esque parts, which i can get down with. They played a few songs off this at the show and they were great live too. I'd recommend picking up this if you haven't. One of the best this year for sure. Anyways, this is the Record Release/Showcase Edition of the Together LP. This one is #40/133 on green vinyl.

I knew damages was good before i got to the Showcase, but they were really good live. Better live?...yeah probably. They played an awesome Embrace cover too. These are their two 7"s they have out, one being a special color for the show.

The last record i got from the Show was the "secret 7"' that was given out to the first 70 people who came into the show on saturday. Obviously, im a nerd so we got there a little under two hours early and waited in line. It was completely worth it though. It ended up being the First Step-Connection 7" w/ a TFS CREW cover, on red vinyl. I love TFS. I suck for never haveing seen them. Reunion needs to happen now. There are 100 total of these. Heres mine.

The last pieces of vinyl i got on the trip were three Pains Of Being Pure At Heart 7"s from Ameoba Records. We didn't have too much time to look around when we got there but i did happen to find these. If you haven't heard this band...they sound(to me) like the Smiths with better vocals and more interesting music. Yeah....sorry..not into The Smiths that much. Here's their Myspace. Two of these are just songs from their S/T full length, and the other is the "Higher Than The Stars" EP. Get into it. Really good band. Stoked on seeing them here in June.

That's all i have pictures of. I did happen to get Nine(i think) shirts at the show, but i didnt bother taking any pictures of those. For some reason i really dread taking pictures of shirts. I dont know why. Also picked up the free Secret People tape. I would post a link to their myspace but i couldn't find it. Anyways, thats it for this post. Until next time.

On The Road.

Lets see, since my last post i have been all over the place. I went up to Richmond for United Blood and after that to Baltimore for the Mindset Record Release Show. This was my second year to attend United Blood. Overall, this year was great. Even though i thought last year's had a better lineup, this one was still one of the best weekendds ever. Highlight sets were Foundation, True Colors, Free Spirit, Rival Mob, Paint It Black, Wasted Time, Death Threat, Backtrack, and Fire & Ice. Awesome Warzone and Straight Ahead cover's by True Colors. Got to hang out with alot of great people. Looking forward to doing it again. I looked for a picture to post here from United Blood but none really stuck out. So, ill post this one from the Mindset Show.

Like UB, this show was awesome. Possibly more awesome? This show had a stacked lineup includeing True colors, rival mob, thought crusade, force fed, and outlast. Every band was great. This was my first time seeing Force Fed and it was a nice set. Glad i finally got to see them because the last two times they cancelled. Definitely a sick band to see live. Even played a DYS cover, and you cant go wrong with that. Standout of the night was ovbiously Mindset. I think they played just about every song off the two 7"s, plus Living A Lie by Side By Side. This band gets better everytime i see them.
At the show i picked up the Time & Pressure Record Release on Yellow vinyl. I think theres a hundred or so of these. Conviently, When i got home from Baltimore (after our horrible 21 hour drive back) i had the my packge from React! with the toher versions of the record. I also picked up a shirt and got another in the mail from react but all i shot was the records. Heres the four of them together. Now all i need is to find a way to get a test press. *good luck to myself*

Another record i picked up on the road was the True Colors Focus On The Light Tour cover. These are from the second pressing from Six Feet Under on white vinyl. Pretty simple Cover but it does the job. Theres 94 of these, mine being #23. Cool.

Next is the only piece of merch i took a photo of. It's pretty obvious that its the dopest anyways. Heres the True Colors Baseball Jacket. I saw it and could defintely not pass it up.

Next up is the Floorpunch Discography with the Euro Tour Sleeve. Six Feet Under had leftovers from the Euro tour for sale at United Blood. Really hard cover. It's a druggie being curb stomped. Goofy but it still rules. I actually think i may end up having two of these records, so if you want to trade for something or buy it...let me know.

I also picked up a new tape that Free Spirit had with them. It's a Live set from Toronto. Also pictured in this is a tape i got in the mail a month or so ago and just forgot to post. Face Reality Demo. If your not into Face Reality, you should be. They are definitely one of the better newish bands that have came around in the past couple years.

The Weeekend after the Baltimore/Richmond trip me and the crew we up to St Louis to catch the Resolve Record Release with True Colors and Mindset. Of course this show was awesome. Just look at the lineup. Mindset had the best crowd reaction as usual. Highlight of their set was Stephen TFS singing Something Must Be Done by Antidote. True colors was just as good as the two times before. Played an equal amount of songs off Focus On The Light and Rush Or Hope. With a couple new ones as well. Really wish they would play song perspective, s/t, or demo songs when i see them this weekend in Cali. If they dont though it will still rule. Resolve did awesome. Not much crowd participation at all since they never play their home town. Anyways, i picked up the Resolve records finallly. Includeing the Record Release. I think im still missing a color and the preorder one. I might hunt those down. Who knows. The Packageing on this LP is great. Super thick cover. Gatefold. And really nice vinyl. All around good work by Seb from Just another Day Records. As usual. You may think the prices are high ordering from JAD recs, but honestly the quality of his release make up for it. Here they are.

Last is an order i made with Panic Records. I ordered these a little while after the Effort preorders went up. This is the Demo sessions 7". Ive listened to them a few times. Good songs. Although i like their earlier stuff alot more. Really nice lyrics though.

Along with the effort 7", i picked up a copy of the Wait In Vain LP. I always put buying this record off when it first came out. So, i finally got it. Really nice release. Sounds exaclty like trial mixed with something more melodic, but it still rules. The lyric sheet in this record is pretty cool. It's 3 postcard pieces of paper. Only sucky thing is that the lyrics are way to small to read on them. O well.

I've got other stuff from UB and other shows but this is all im posting. I thought it would be wise to post this before i leave tommorow for REACT! showcase, cause im sure i'm going to find alot of goods there. Hopefully. I am beyond stoked for this weekend. A Month!

I have been putting this off as normal. It's been close to a month since my last post on here. This lengthy post will show for it too. I have gotten alot of good stuff here lately. Honestly though i should be saving for the festivities i have planned up for the end of this month/april. Heading to Richmond for United Blood at the end of march. Then the day after the Mindset Record Release in Baltimore. Next weekend after that is the Resolve Record Release in St Louis, then the next week i leave for California for React! showcase. I don't think i can anticipate these shows much more. The end of March needs to be right now.
Now getting into the goods. First up is one of my favorite LPs that came out in the 80s, Bonds of Friendship! I have been watching this LP end over and over again and never really tried too hard to get it. This time i succeeded. I got this for probably less than normal price for a black copy. This is the Tour version on white vinyl. Very stoked to own this record. NEED MOAR INSTED VINYL

I honestly don't know how it took me his long to finally buy a copy of this record. Especially since it's been in constant rotation since it came out in 06. Nothing too special about this one. Its What we know on blue vinyl. Second pressing. I will eventually have more copies of this record, haha.

Here is another addition to the First step collection i have going. This is the Open Hearts And Clear Minds LP on black vinyl. I've already recently talked about this one, so here it is.

This band is really good. Outrage from MA. This is their first EP called Savior released on as 12" on Upside Down Records. Not really too sure on the specific pressing info on these. I ordered all three colors and got all three with a "preorder cover /50". I think these were used because the original covers hadnt came in yet. I'll probably end up letting my nerdiness take over and get 3 colors again with the normal cover. Maybe. But for real, check this band out if your into 90's influenced metallic hardcore.

With my order from Upside Down Records for those Outrage Lps, i was given a free Rival Mob demo 7". I was stoked to get this too! I haven't ever bought this and it is definitely worth owning. Thanks colby!

Next up is the Judge 2xlp discography on black. I saw someone on dead format selling stuff and this was one of the included items. I think i got this for 9ppd. Can't beat that! This is the only judge record i have. I should probably look into getting a copy of New York crew.

Here is one of the missing pieces to my Foundation collection. I actually saw them on this tour, but they were out at the date i caught it at. This is the East Coast Fall tour 09 version of Hang Your Head. Nothing special besides a stamp on the dust sleeve. Still pretty cool though. Now all i need is the Self titled test press and the Hang Your Head test. I'm not too upset not having them though. So it's cool.

Next up is a record that i was given. Back when the preorder for this record went up pablo said anyone who ordered three copies would be entered into a drawing for a free test press. I guess i won. Really stoked to have this. It was a great surprise to find this package show up here. The second i saw the shipping address i knew what it was. This record is so good. Remission from Chile really know how to make good hardcore. Their first LP "accept" is enough proof of that. I'd compare them to bands similar to Verbal Assualt, Outspoken, Eleven Thirty-Four, Four Walls Falling, Blindfold, etc...but still having a great original sound. Check them out. This copy is #11/15. Thanks Pablo! Really appreciate it. Buy this record.

Speaking of Vision, I also got a copy of In The Blink Of An Eye from ebay. I think i paid something really cheap for this....like $5. So that rules. This is a great record. My personal favorite of theirs. This is the original pressing on Nemesis Records. Oly downer about this is that stupid price tag on the left top corner. Putting price tags on the actual record cover will never be a good idea. Stop.

I ordered this Overload 7" from Just another Day Records a while ago. I think Seb had some trouble getting stuff in on time or something. No worries though! This copy is #12/50. There are only 50 of these pressed. The layout looks great. I also recieved a free copy of the Times Together 7" that just came out on Just Another Day. I haven'y listened to this 7" all the way yet so i wont comment on the music. The layout however is top notch. Really thick cardboard cover. Great looking layout on the insert, and the vinyl looks real nice. Good Job Seb! Here is their myspace if your interested in checking them out.

The first time i saw the bootleg covers for the Wide Awake Demo 7" i immediately wanted them. Didn't really think too much of it until i got an email from tre from Deathwish saying he'd sell me them. Im not really too sure about the pressing info on these boots. I dont think anyone knows really. I honeslty don't even know what the original looks like. Someone should educate me. Anyways, these are all the Hold True Demo 7" with different color covers. (Yellow, blue, red, green, reversed blue) I think these look so great. Really stoked to have these. Now i should step up my game and get more copies of the CT Hardcore 7".

Last pictures are of a few shirts i got in the past month. I've probably got one or two more since my last post but i cant remember. These are the highlights either way. Here's two Medium First Step Shirts, Medium Identify Shirt, and a Large Battery tour 97 Shirt. Really stoked on all these shirts. First off, i have been wanting some nice TFS shirts for a while. The only one i have is a small and i can't wear it anymore. Next for the identify shirt. I talked about them i believe maybe in my past post. If not that one, the one before that. This is the shirt that i bought with the tape in 07 ..but never got. So, i finally have both of them now. Only 3 years late. This might be their only shirt too. It's a really slick design though. I really like it. It looks like brand new too. Saw this on ebay for a buy it now price and i without hesitation bought it. I doubt this shirt hasn't even been on ebay before. haha Last is this battery shirt. I've been wanting a Battery shirt for a long time. This one is a good one to have too. Too baed it's a Large. It's definitely too big for me. But im still keeping it! I figure i wont find much, if any, Medium Battery gear, so this will have to do. The only other specific Battery shirt i NEED in my life is the orange Longsleeve or shortsleeve. That shirt rules.

I don't know whay that picture decided to turn like that. But it still works. That's it though. I am really going to try to not wait so long next time. I don't really enjoy typing these huge post's out when i could just make multiple shorter ones over time. Peace yo.

SFU/P&F/Wide Awake/more!

I've had many oppertunities to post this before now but im lazy and put it off. Im not too far behind though. Anyways, Im glad i saw the Six Feet Under new years sale going on because it allowed me to pick up some nice stuff that i had been putting off buying. I got all of this for pretty cheap too, so thats a plus! First thing here is a copy of the Dead Stop S/T 7". Man, how good was this band? I used to have a copy of this but traded it for something i believe. I'm glad i got it back. This one is the Red Vinyl version. I think its a second pressing of it. Dead stop is definitely one of my favorite hardcore bands to have came out since 2000. I never had the chance to see this band and it bums me out. I think i've watche their last show video more than any other youtbue video. Watch it if you havent.

Next off was two copies of the Bitter End S/T 7" that Deathwish put out last year(i think). For some reason i never bought it when Deathwish first put it up, so im glad places like Six Feet Under still had copies. Although this 7" is fairly short, it's musically very tight. Its a bit faster than their LP and first 7", but that dosn't bother me any. Great 7" and i cant wait to hear their new LP "Guilty As Charged" that's coming out on Deathwish this year.

I figured since i bought those 2 Bitter End 7"s that i should grab a copy of Climate of Fear too. I used to have another copy of this but once again, I traded it off. Definitely regret doing that. It was the United Blood Cover (Which was really dope i might add). I don't think i'd be lying if i said that Bitter End was probably my favorite hardcore band playing this type of stuff. I'm also very content with saying they are one of the best, if not the best, live bands going right now. My only gripe is tour more. Ive seen them three times in the past 4 years but that is not enough. This one is on Clear Brown Vinyl from the 2nd Pressing. Nice color.

Up next is another record i put off buying from Lockin Out when it first went up. The Rival Mob-Raw Life LP. When i bought this from Six Feet Under i was thinking i would get the Black copy, but i actually got the clear gold one. So, score on that! This record is so good. Boston sure does know how to make good hardcore and this is no exception. I first saw this band at Sound And fury this past year and they were great. I'm stoked to see them again this year at United Blood and the next day for Mindset's record release show. Should be good times.

I also picked up a True Colors shirt from SFU but no pics of that. Next thing i got was a package from Positive And focused Records. The Youth Crew 2010 Comp that they put out. Almost everything about this comp rules. With exception of maybe a couple songs that im not too into, it's great. The packageing for this record was spot on. Great colors, especially that pink one. I don't think i've ever seen that color on vinyl before. Nice job Positive and Focused.

Next up is a couple demo tapes i got. This is the Critical Point and Injustice System demo tape's. Both demos are pretty cool. If you haven't checked out these bands you should. Other than "Foundation" by critical point sounding a whole lot like Project X, it's a pretty dope demo. If you into Youth Crew sound then you'd probably be into it. Injustice System is a new band from Flordia that has members of gator bait and reveal the truth i believe. If your into 80's hardcore then you will probably enjoy. Really good demo.

Along with the critical point tape i got the Euro pressing of the Not Sorry 7" "moving on". I also got the package deal shirt but i didn't take a picture of it. I talked more about this 7" on an earlier post so i wont go into too much detail. Good Seattle hardcore is all you need to know.

Alright, saving the best for last. Here's my first copy to own of the Wide Awake CT Hardcore 7". This is absolutely on my top 10 hardcore 7"s of all time. Why? Because you cant ignore THE TRUTH. This is the 2nd pressing on black with Grey/silver labels. Im also looking to pick up any wide awake 7"s i don't have. If you interested in tradeing or selling, let me know please!

It's been about a week since i posted last i guess. I figure i should post now rather than wait and have an even bigger post. This one's more diverse musically than most of my other post's. I saw that Vinyl Collective was having a pretty awesome sale and could not pass these up. I picked up 8 different Chuck Ragan releases for under 50 dollars shipped. Pretty awesome deal. Talking about alot of records....this dude has it. There is something like 25+ Chuck Ragan releases....many of them being Single releases of stuff on the full length's. I really like Chuck Ragan but i dont care to own all the singles and complations. With this purchase i covered a good chunk of the Chuck releases that id like to get. I'm just missing a copy of Feast Or Famine, Which is probably my favorite of his. I need to get that! Anyways, Here's what i got.

Next up is the Descendents "Everything Sucks" reissue that Epitaph Records put out. I got the white version that is limited to 500. I believe that is now sold out, but black vinyl is still available. I'm stoked to finally own a copy of this record. This was my first Descendents record to listen to when i first got into them. And to this day it is still my favorite. (Milo coming in real close second) Such a great record.

Here is something i semi-accidentally won on ebay. I was watching this and didn't have too much intent on trying to win it. It was close to ending and the bid was still at 9.99 with one bid....i couldn't let someone win it for only that much, having seen this record go for about 40 a week earlier. Anyways, i put in like a 15 dollar bid and ended up winning with like 14 something. Cool Deal. Other than Four Walls Falling, this is probably my favorite Richmond hardcore band. I LOVE this record. It's the only copy i have of it and that does need to change. It's my favorite Count Me Out release for sure. The other CMO stuff is great, bus this clearly tops the rest. This is the Winter tour Cover for "Few And Far Between" This on is #64.

I was surprised that this record didn't go for more. Usually when Rancor stuff gets put on ebay it gets a decent response. I won this copy of "Never Hold Back" for like 5 dollars. It's the 2nd pressing with photocopied cover. In the picture the vinyl color looks to be black, but it's actually really dark blue. Band Rules. Really wish i could have seen them play that Youngblood showcase this year...:-/ Maybe next time.

Here's the last piece of this entry. Here is a new 7" that Reaper Records put out by Violent Side. This stuff is so good. Has members of Forfeit and Black SS. Sounds similar to the bands which they came from with a hint of the Boston edge sound. Great Mix. This is still available from the Reaper Store. Appearently there's only 148 copies of these...all on black vinyl. Get one while you can!

Catching Up

This is somewhat of a catch-up post. Here lately i have bought alot of records...christmas money rules. Not all of this post was from that...Some of this is just things i forgot to include on past posts. First up is three First Step connection 7"s i bought from Rivarly. I happened to randomly go to the Rivarly site and saw that they had the clear and red second press's in the store. I couldn't pass it up..so i bought the clear, red, and blue second pressings of the Connection 7". This record rules, as does the other TFS releases. I hope they will play again in the future. I have a good feeling that it will happen.

Next up is a Where Fear And Weapons Meet Control 7". This is the only copy i have of this release. In my opinion, it's not as tight as their releases prior to this; however, it is still a great 7". I'm just a big fan of the way "The Weapon" Lp sounded. If you're not familiar with this band then you're definitely missing out on one of the most fun bands to listen to. Everytime i turn on The Weapon i automatically get stoked. Reunion needs to happen. Listen here. I believe RevHQ still has The Weapon on the store...pick it up. If you have any WFAWM items that i dont have listed on my tradelist, i would be down to trade.

Bitter end just rules. I used to have this EP but i think i traded it a while back for something else. I bought this back from someone on B9. Bitter End is probably one of my favorite metallic hardcore bands going right now, if not favorite. Mind In Chains is their first release and might i say...their best release. Climate of Fear and the S/T are great too though. I would probably say those two are more original musically. Getting to see this band is always a treat because everytime its been spread out over a year apart. They actually played my town in August 06 with Fight Like Hell and since then i've been hooked. Best Band From Texas currently. Not releated to bitter end, but check this new band from Texas out, Eight-Fifteen. Sounds like 90's hardcore in vein of Refused, Snapcase, 108, Poison The Well, etc.

Heres another Texas Hardcore Gem. Far From Breaking "Made My Choice" on Blue. Far From Breaking is definitely one of my favorite bands from the early 2000's. They are basically just generic youth crew hardcore, but they do it so well. I always hope for a reunion someday....but that just dosn't seem realistic for obvious reasons. Heres what i have....help me get the rest.

Here's something that i've been looking to get for quite a while now. Well, Basically since it was availble. This is the Demo Tape from the band Identify from Germany. I'm not sure whats up with this band, but i LOVE this demo. The FIRST time i bought this i bought it with their demo shirt design....which i might say was REALLY dope. Of course i got ripped off. I finally got it this time. Anyways...I think some, or all, of the members play in AYS. AYS is good, but ca mon.....this is Great. Identify Members, if you see this.....put more music out. This band play's Youth Crew hardcore and sounds alot like In My Eyes "Nothing To Hide" era. The version of this i have on my computer actually has a cover of "Can't Live Through Me" and its awesome. I recently ran into this Japanese Label that put out this demo on CDR. Im not too into CD demos...but if you would like to buy it, here it is. Get into this band, or you'll be missing out.

These next two pictures are stuff i just accidently forgot to post. First is the force Fed 7". I ordered it from Painkiller Records the day they put them up....but for some reason he forgot to send me my order. No big deal though, after one email he apologized and sent it that day. I was bummed when Force Fed dropped off A Time We'll Remember. They paly a mean DYS cover and i'd be down with that.

Last is the Not Sorry 7" from Lifeline Records. Man this record is good. I can't wait to get the euro pressing of this in. Im sure they will look as nice as this release does. I think Salad Days Still has it for order. Same WithLifeline. I saw this band two times in November and both times they were AWESOME. You should definitely check them out if you havent.

That's it. I didn't post it but i also got the Mindset Photobook and and the Screaming At A Wall Zine. Both are Awesome. I still have alot of things coming my way in the mail. Expect post's very soon with those items. I kinda got a little crazy buying records over the break. haha

Outlast/True Colors/TFS

A few days ago i got my Outlast-New Jersey Straight Edge 7" package. I ordered the package deal with the shirt. My man Stuxee did the shirt design and it looks awesome. If you didnt order, guess you missed out. Im stoked to have some Outlast on vinyl. If you have not heard Outlast yet and your into the more melodic side of the youth crew style, you might like. This band was awesome in PA last month and them covering Our Turn made me very happy. Check outlast out here.

Next is The First Step-Open Hearts And Clear Minds LP. I was watching this on ebay like i always do with TFS vinyl. Most of it usually goes for more than id want to pay for it. This was probably over my price range at the time but i'm tired of not haveing the 12" version of one of my favorite records. I suck for not buying TFS stuff when i had the chance.

Im a noob with First Step records. I took a picture of all the ones i have, which is like 4. I actually have an extra copy of the demo 2001 7" on blue vinyl. Someone should trade me some other TFS record for it. I don't even have a copy of What We Know. What is wrong with me.

The last thing i got was something i've been very excited about getting since i heard Six Feet Under were going to do it. The US pressing of True Colors-Rush Of Hope. So, of course i ordered the 3 Rush Of Hope Lps and the Delux package with a special cover for Rush Of Hope and Focus On The Light. The special covers are alright. They don't really go well with all the other special covers that True Colors have. Here they are.

Now that i got these Lp's in i could take an updated collection picture. I have also semi recently found out that Six Feet Under and Powered have test pressings for this LP. Great, now i gotta get those somehow. Heres everything I have. Its (with exception of those tests and a complation or 2) everything.

Painkiller and Eleven Thirty-Four

So, on tuesday i got some mail finally. Since im at school and it's mailed to my house, it usually gets to me in bulk from my mom. On tuesday i got 3 different test press's and a hoodie. I'm lazy and didn't take a picture of the hoodie, but it is just the grey "Outlast straight edge" hoodie. I think Dave might have a few more if you want one. Maybe. First up, is an Eleven Thirty-Four-Nothing ep Test Pressing. Like alot of older 7" tests it's just the record..no cover. I love this band. I can probably say that they are on my top ten 90's core list. I really don't understand why more people don't talk about them. Best riffs ever.

It's nice to see a collection of a band that not alot...or even possibly no one actively collect. Heres te other 1134 items i have. I REALLY want the Idle Regresssion 7" with green cover. PLEASE help me if you have it. I have only seen one person with it. I also want your Reality Filter test and idle Regression test, or any demo if it even exists.

Next up is a package of Painkiller Test's. I was approached about this deal and i honestly was not expecting anything to come out of it. However, i got these in a very good deal and am stoked to have these. I won't say what the deal because i was told not to say. Anyways, This is the Step Forward 10 Song EP test press and the Waste Management Get Your Mind Right Test Press. These two bands are definitely two of the best boston bands going right now. If you dont know them and are into good straight edge hardcore, i strongly advise you to check them out.

I'm stoked to have that but honestly im more stoked to have this. It seem's like there is alot of demand for this bands stuff. Did not ever think i would have this. I now need to track down the alternate covers for this. (Record Release and loud and clear Cover) All i have other than this is the 7" on clear. Here it is.

That's all the Records i ave for this entry. Here is something a little extra that i thought was cool. I went and bought a frame for something but it ended up not fitting. I happened to take out my insert for my copy of it's always darkest and put it in there. I think it looks way dope. I may keep it in there...i may not. What do you think?

A Time We'll Remember And Mail

Yo! So this past weekend me and my friend Jimmie drove up to baltimore for the weekend and caught ATWR and the house preshow. It was really awesome getting to see some of my favorite new/current bands play, basically almost every band who played. Got to hang out with some friends i never see and also met some new ones. Anyways, heres some stuff i got while up in MD/PA/DC.

On Friday we went a few places in Baltimore, one being a record shop. I'm not really sure what its called but i believe the singer from deep sleep is the guy who owns it. Anyways, there was alot of dope stuff there but i only picked up this record. The Circle Storm-Spirit 7" on yellow. I was stoked to find it for only $5. I see it on ebay sometimes, but ive always ended up looking over it. Now i should track down the black version. Also want the other copies of Character Assassian besides White. For those of you who dont know anything about Circle Storm, its basically Chain Of Strength but sounds better. Yeah,....i said it.

Next item i bought from this record store was this Four Walls Falling boot that Thunder Lizard made. It is a large and a tad bit too big for me, but o well. Four walls falling is definitely in my top 7 Favorite bands. I could not pass up a $6 fwf shirt. If you don't like them, quit hardcore.

Next up is the stuff i got at the show. I really didnt get too many records (had most of the ones that were there). Heres one i did get though.

Sean Youngblood had his distro at the show on saturday. So, i picked up this Youngblood Showcase Edition of the New Fired Up record. Pretty cool because i've been waiting on him to put those leftovers up since the show.
The only other record i got was this Outlast/Reveal The Truth Split 7". However, this is just the cover. Dead End Records is supposed to send the records out to whoever bought it...sometime. It came with a digital download card, but i'm not on my computer to download it. Im sure it's awesome though.

I mainly picked up alot of shirts and stuff. I dont really want to go into detail on any of these. Here just one side of all the stuff i picked up. This picture also contains a Remission shirt i got in the mail when i got back home.

I have gotten a couple things in the mail since my last post, but nothing too exciting. I had like 6-7 packages when i got back here from our little roadtrip. Ill start off with this one. I won this from Aram. It was part of the first round of React! EBay auctions. I only paid like 27 dollars for this. Nice score. Anyways this is the Transition press of the Right Idea LP.

I also won this on ebay. This is the 2nd Rejected Our World Test /16. I wasn't really expecting to win this, but i did. Cool deal! Now all i need to complete this RI collection up is the Accepted Test and the 7" Test. And if you want to count the yellow covered tape, then that too. (I've only seen ONE of those.) If you know how many of those their are, educate me.

With the Right Idea Transition i also won this Mindset 1st Press transition. Looks way dope. Now all i need is the realpower test and 2nd transition. Blah. Im such a nerd with records.

Next up is the California Takeover Pic Disc. Nothing too special since this item is only ebay honestly like every day. I think i won this for under $3. It's vital for my Snapcase collection that most likely wont ever be complete.

Alright, heres my last few items all at once. First is the Four Walls Falling European Release/Punish The Machine, whatever its called. I have honestly never heard this 7", I've really only heard these songs recorded for the Food For Worms LP. Which, was just weird. However, I've read these are much better on here, so hopefully thats true. The second picture is the One Foot In The Grave 7" from Third Party Records. To be honest, i forgot i even ordered this. TxP usually does take a long time to send me my stuff but i wont gripe, because i have always gotten it eventually. Anyways, OFITG is a cool band from Chicago. I dont really know if they are active or not. To me it seems like they are just a side project for their members other bands. Anyways last is just another Far From Breaking Tape i didnt have, and above that is an OUTSPOKEN demo tape. It came with no cover, i guess that it's supposed to have one? Seriously, let me know if its supposed to be like that or not. I really dont know too much about it. I only paid $3 for it too. Nice.

On a semi-releated note, LISTEN TO MORE THOUGHT CRUSADE. Definitely one of the best releases from this year was "It's Our War". Go over to the Triple-B webstore and buy that record. So good. That's it. Peace.

Yeah, so I have already started to slack on posting. This one might be long with all the pictures. Last week I two packages in the mail. One was my Fired Up-Doomed To Repeat 7"s from Youngblood.

Right when I opened this package I immediately stuck it on the turntable to listen to. My expectations were high for this release, since their previous record was really awesome. I was not let down. I think I listened to this record maybe 10 times in a row once I got it ripped into MP3. I can say that this record is just as good, or even better, then When The Lights Go Out. I highly recommend you check it out if you’re into good music. It kind of bums me out when I listen to it though because I know I’ll never see these songs live. This band should have NOT broken up. Most people (I think) have at least heard of this band, but I think with more touring with this record they really could have gotten more attention. Maybe they will start to play again. I won’t get my hopes up though. Here’s the picture of all the other fired up 7"s I have. If you have a When The Lights Go Out test press or any transitions, talk to me.

Next thing I got was a copy of the DYS-Wolfpack LP put out by Taang Records. I don’t really know the pressing info on this, but this copy looks to be an older pressing of it. Let me know if you know more about this record's pressing info. No need to ramble about this band because I’m sure you know all about them. If you don’t, you’re missing out on an essential band of the 80's.

Later in the week I received two more 7"s. One was Outspoken's "Survival" EP. Outspoken is definitely one of my favorite hardcore bands. Maybe Top 10? I'm not good with rating things. Anyways, I plan to eventually hunt down most of their stuff. So far I have this, Current on black, and the Look Beyond 7". If you have anything else that I don't have you should consider trading with me (Shirts Included). ;) I also got another Right Idea-Our World 7" put out by Bottled Up. This one is the clear/black Transition /15. It has a nice red cover with alternate artwork. Now all I need for this release is the test press. If Jeff continues to put them up on eBay I’ll have it soon enough. I just hope i can get it for as cheap as I got this one (~$25). Also pictured are the Foundation/Meantime Split on black and a Backtrack Tour 7". Read under the picture for more info on those.

That is all I received via mail last week. Over the weekend me and two friends drove to Johnson City, TN for the Ringworm record release with Backtrack and some locals. Ringworm was crazy awesome as expected. If I remember right they played like 22-25 songs. This was my second time seeing them, the first being at Burning Fight in Chicago this past May. Other than Ringworm, Backtrack was really good too. I have seen alot of different people saying how good this band was so it was cool to finally get to see what was up. Nothing groundbreaking but I definitely enjoyed their set. I picked up their new 7" called "Deal With The Devil". It's the "Tour Edition #2 #13/95" so says the back. It's in the picture above this.

Today I got that Foundation/Meantime Split that is pictured above with the Backtrack, Outspoken, and Right Idea 7"s. This record is stamped and numbered #84/100. I’m always stoked to add to my foundation collection. The count is now up to 22. I'm only missing the S/T test press, Hang Your Head Test Press, and the Hang Your Head Tour edition. Not counting on anyone letting me get their test's but I know someone will give up their tour 7". Anyways, here’s an updated Foundation record picture.

I also got two Mindset Shirts and a Hoodie in the mail today. It's just the newest ones they put up in their webstore. That's it for today though. Comment me!

This month has been crazy for shows. It seems like i have been to over 20....when actually its just been four. Anyways, last night was the Bane/Foundation/Blacklisted tour in Nashville TN. I'm not going to go into too much detail about the show. I will say that Bane and Foundation had awesome sets, like i figured they would. I find it weird that i've only seen Bane two times now. In the past few years that i've attended hardcore shows ive had ~5 chances but none(but 2) have worked out. However, both times that i have seen them they have had awesome sets and had great things to say. Foundation was great as usual. I'm glad that people are finally starting to realize how good this band is. Living in the south has a few advantages...Like getting to see Foundation every other month. Only bummer about them was they didnt have anymore of the tour shirts or tour 7"s. I was really excited about getting those. I'm gonna have to find someone with that tour 7" to trade with. (do it) That's really about it. The four hour drive there and back wasn't too bad. We've definitely had much worse.

Mail has been pretty slow for the past few weeks it seems. I havent gotten any records in over two weeks...until today. Nothing too special or anything but both are by two of my favorite bands.

Here is the last Up Front release i needed to have one of each. It's the "Doin' It Live On WNYU 7" I have always seen this record on ebay off and on but never ended up bidding on it. Finally i did, and i won it for $5ppd. Can't beat that. I'm really stoked to see Up Front at A Time We'll Remeber Fest in November. Im sure they will not disappoint. Heres another picture with all the UF recs i have.

Nothing too special..but it's a start. My main wants are the other versions of the Spirit LP, so if you want to get rid of yours...let me know. Actually i'll gladly take anything i dont have.

Next is the Snapcase-Steps 7" on red vinyl.

This record is so good. In my opinion this band had nothing bad up until Bright Flashes. One of New yorks best bands from the 90's for sure. I would probably rank this release right under Progression Through Unlearning, which is seconded to Lookinglasself. Mainly because theres more songs on the LPs, obviously. Basically, if you dont like this band you suck. They offer way more than most other bands from the 90's or even today. Snapcase was definetly one of the most original band's of their time. Too bad im too young to have ever gotten to see them. Now all i can do is set around on here and watch this.

Hopefully they play some reunions again sometime in the future. It seems like thats a popular thing today with 90's bands. Anyways, heres the oher Snapcase records i have. Email me if you want to sell or trade me anything that i dont have. Peace

I finally gave in and decided to start a blog. I have always enjoyed reading other people's blogs about records, merch, and shows, so I figured I should maybe start one. Hopefully I can keep this going. I will probably end up editing the layout more as time goes on. One thing i really need is a good picture to use at the top of the page because it is way too plain without one. That's about all i want to say in this post. I might make another post sometime tonight with some good content...who knows! Peace
